RSPCA Save the Paws Ball

Dress up for a good cause at the RSPCA's annual Save the Paws Ball this October.

By Isabella Mellios

The RSPCA, Australia’s leading animal welfare organisation, relies heavily on donations from the wider community to fund their life saving work, looking after neglected, abandoned, and abused animals.

The Save the Paws Ball is one of the RSPCA Darwin’s major fundraising events and all money raised this year will go towards an on-site vet clinic at the RSPCA in Berrimah.

RSPCA Darwin CEO Dr Jessica Moore-Jones says this year’s event will be great fun, while raising money for life-saving equipment.

“Guests at the ball can buy us a stethoscope, a surgery kit or even an anaesthetic machine for the homeless animals who come into our care,” says Moore-Jones.

“So this year, guests will not only have great fun and get to meet some of our furry friends, they can also provide tangible, life-saving equipment for animals who have no one else to turn to.”

Guests will be entertained by The Kicks and have the chance to win lucky door prizes, bid on live and silent auctions, and – most importantly – a chance to meet the shelter dogs and check out the balcony friendly cat enclosure, Kitty Kondo.

You may even find yourself a furry friend for life.
