Transitions Film Festival

THE TRANSITIONS FILM FESTIVAL RETURNS TO DARWIN showcasing inspirational documentaries about social and technological innovations, revolutionary ideas and trail-blazing change makers that are leading the way to a better world. Held over six days and kicking off the school holidays, the festival also includes guest speakers, live music and outdoor solar-powered film screenings.

Festival co-ordinator Eileen Tuite says the event is important to encourage local discussion surrounding sustainability.

“It’s important to get the positive message out about environmental change for a more sustainable future. There’s something to engage everyone on a topic that affects everyone – the environment is a global issue but we can address it in our own backyard,” she said.

Screenings will be held at MAGNT, the Deckchair Cinema and at Cafe de la Plage. Any revenue made from the event goes to the recently defunded Environment Centre NT to help in the continuation of their positive work here in Darwin.
