PAST. PRESENT. FEAST.

Imagine this – Food. Wine. Friends. Ambience. All under the stars at Darwin’s Town Hall ruins. Imagine no longer, ‘cos this dream’s about to become reality, baby!

Each year, Darwin Festival holds an exclusive foodie special event to enhance the elements of taste, texture, location and enjoyment. Last year, Adelaide chef Duncan Welgemoed dished up buffalo and crocodile at a warehouse in Winnellie. This year, up-and-coming Melbourne foodies Sascha Rust and Jasmine Wakely of Scraps Kitchen will dish up festive eats matched with carefully curated wines, to provide the ultimate dining experience.

And the appeal doesn’t stop with the menu! Diners are wined and dined in a unique location, making this the ultimate dining experience. Despite surviving 64 air raids during World War II (yep, we build ‘em tough around here) the walls of Darwin’s town hall (b. 1893) only started to fall as a result of Cyclone Tracy. The town hall ruins have proudly remained in Darwin’s CBD, serving as a reminder of Darwin’s history and defiance, and what better place to enjoy a culinary experience al fresco?

For a dining affair somewhere between the past and present, rich with local history, feast your eyes and tastebuds upon PAST. PRESENT. FEAST.
