Botanical Bliss

Just under a year old and Eva’s Botanical Gardens Café has become one of Darwin’s most popular places to catch up over coffee.

It’s not hard to see why. Steeped in the cool green ambience of the George Brown Botanic Gardens, Eva's is a true haven from the hot steamy streets of wet season Darwin. Boasting great organic fair trade coffee and tea as well as super fresh and healthy meal options, other boons include 30 minutes fast free wifi, nearby playspaces for kids and a pet-friendly policy.

“Dogs are provided with fresh water upon arrival,” says Rosel, a dog owner herself. “I’m even considering creating a dog menu.”

The possibility of canine cuisine aside, there are other exciting developments already appearing on Eva’s horizon. Rosel confirms that there is a new menu which features dishes such as chia pots garnished with Eva’s famous homemade coconut yoghurt.  Rosel also confirms that Eva’s will be running outdoor breakfast BBQs serving bacon and eggs on weekends during the dry.

“People keep commenting that the Botanic Gardens have been brought to life with the numbers of people visiting since Eva’s opened,” Rosel reveals. With two weddings a month already booked in for 2015, Eva’s popularity shows little signs of abating.
