Description 

Join descendants of Granny Lum Loy and some of her close friends for a panel discussion highlighting the lasting impacts she had on the Darwin Chinese community. Hosted by former Chief Minister, Clare Martin AO including a presentation by Dr Natalie Fong on a little-known aspect of Granny Lum Loy’s life and the concept of mui tsai (imported maids) in Australia, speakers Elizabeth Kwan, Roland Chin and former Administrator of the NT, Ted Egan AO, discuss elements of Granny Lum Loy’s life.
