DASSAN welcomes you to this screening of Chauka Please Tell Us The Time, a film by Behrouz Boochani, 2019 winner of Australia's most prestigious literary award for No Friend but the Mountains: Writing from Manus Prison.
While writing the book, Boochani secretly filmed Chauka on his mobile phone, collaborating with Iranian-Dutch filmmaker, Arash Kamali Sarvestani. A beautiful yet painful portrait of life on Manus.
