Darwin Fringe Festival: Divine Steps

Kick back and relax in the Brown's Mart courtyard for free live music in between Darwin Fringe Festival shows. 

Indian Classical dance forms are a combination of rhythm and body movement, facial expressions, and storytelling through hand gestures. Originating in the temples with ancient Sanskrit texts as their base, the dances convey spiritual ideas and religious anecdotes. Dancers Vidya Bhardwaj and Shobie Doraisingam present South Indian Bharatanatyam and Odissi originating from the east coast.
