DIFF 2019 – Long Day's Journey into Night (3D)

A man went back to Guizhou, found the tracks of a mysterious woman. He recalls the summer he spent with her twenty years ago. 

29-year-old prodigy, Bi Gan, returns with a piece which is in equal measure a oneiric performance and a technical tour-de-force. The result is a highly immersive experience bathed in the smoky cinematic atmosphere of noir, the likes of which you, the film lover, long to return to again and again.
