DIFF opens with the NT premiere of Shayda (special guest Osamah Sami) and short film Dipped in Black/Marungka Tjalatjunu (special guests Derik Lynch and Duncan Graham). Gala tickets include a glass of bubbly on arrival and roving canapes. Dipped in Black/Marungka Tjalatjunu explores Derik's childhood growing up in central Australia and the empowerment of coming back to country. Shayda: A brave Iranian mother Shayda finds refuge in a women’s shelter with her daughter.
