Spectator Sports

Spectator Sports is a new solo exhibition from Alycia Bennett depicting bodies under surveillance, created through hand-tufted wool and acrylic carpets. The work contributes to conversations around surveillance and data-harvesting in the Northern Territory, with its long history of mass monitoring and control of its vulnerable populations, its data harvesting centres, its over-policing, and its historical significance as Australia’s birthplace of telecommunications.
