International Women's Day Morning Tea

Join the Northern Institute's International Women's Day Morning Tea with special presentations by Andrea Lee, Red Cross and Sally Sievers, the NT Anti-Discrimination Commissioner Northern Territory. Open to the public – men are very welcome – delegations of Senior School students are also encouraged to attend. A gold coin donation will support a worthy women's cause.

Suffragette 
Come along to this special movie screening about the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement. In early 20th-century Britain, the life of working wife and mother Maud Watts is forever changed when she joins a group of women who fight for equality and the right to vote. Faced with increasing police action, Maud and her dedicated suffragettes must play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with an increasingly brutal state.

International Women’s Day Breakfast
There’s nothing like a room full of inspiring women and a full brekkie to start the day. Hosted by the Women’s Network of the Northern Territory, MC Lyrelle Cochrane from ABC Darwin and CEO of the Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association Tracey Hayes will set the scene for a fab morning of networking and revelling.

International Women's Day Gala Dinner Fundraiser
Frock up and make a toast to womankind over dinner. Comedian Amy Hetherington hosts a fun filled night including guest speakers ABC Journalist Kristy O’Brien and 2017 Darwin Young Citizen of the Year Philadelphia Hughes.
