Tactile Arts Christmas Craft Fair

That ol’ festive season is comin’ round the corner fast. Get an A+ for your prep and pressies this year by getting among one of Darwin’s special Christmas fairs.

The Tactile Arts Christmas Craft Fair is where it’s at for artisan-crafted gifts with a from-the-heart, Territory touch.

Tactile Arts Events Co-ordinator Tess Duke says that with everything from home wares to hot sauce spread over 90 stalls, there’ll be something for everyone on your gift list, with that locally-made feeling adding infinite sparkle to every purchase.

“It’s amazing to see how well reflected some people are in what they create and, knowing the background of where the work comes from, it really adds to the appreciation of your purchase. It makes for a much more meaningful gift.”

Pop round to Wai Ting’s store La Floraltale and you can learn about how she grows, dries and presses her own flowers to create exquisite resin flower petal jewellery. Or have a chat to Carly O’Neill about the striking native animal portraits captured through her lens as part of her Territory Wildlife Park residency.

You'll have your merry little Christmas list all crossed off in no time.
