Darwin Fringe Fesitval

If you want to find out what the 2019 Darwin Fringe Festival is all about, don’t miss the Opening Night Party, with banging beats to guide you through the night. And the dance floor!

New kids on the block, Draftday, will get the crowds warmed up, followed by local faves Epi(c)Phannys, African electronic beat makers Afritek, and urban DJ Ladi Kay to play the beats into the late/early hours.

Co-director Hannah Illingworth says if you want to know what Fringe is all about, opening night is the place to be.

“Our Opening Night Party always goes off, and we’re so excited to have such a solid line up of locals,” she says.

“It’s the perfect taste of what’s to come over the following 10 days.”

More than 100 shows from emerging and independent artists will be sprinkled throughout Darwin during Fringe across a whole range of genres. But if you go to opening night and are on the fang for more Fringe Club party vibes, you can pretty much party every night of the week.

Party-lovers can enjoy five more nights of very different late-night entertainment, including the best hip-hop sounds coming out of  Darwin and a very daggy dance party with comedian Nicole Stevens. So get those dancing shoes and swinging hips ready, Darwin, because it’s time to party!
