Freedom Day Festival

HELD ON GURINDJI COUNTRY, the birth of Aboriginal Land Rights in Australia, Freedom Day Festival celebrates the spirit of unity and pride.

The festival tagline is ‘blackfella, whitefella unite as one’, and brings people from diverse backgrounds together to celebrate the bravery of those who stood up for their rights more than 50 years ago at the Wave Hill Walk-Off.

Celebrate Indigenous culture with the Freedom Day March, AFL and basketball, art, film, dance, speaker forums, workshops and more. Camping is available, so why not make a weekend out of it?
