One Mile Brewery Co.

This beer making stuff all started out as a hobby for Darwin locals Stuart Brown and Bardy Bayram. From humble beginnings churning out home brew in Stu’s Stuart Park shed, to their current operation in Palmerston, these blokes are still flabbergasted by their success.

The name comes from the One Mile Station - metres from Stu’s shed where it all began. They spent five years perfecting their recipe, and launched their liquid gold at the Deck Bar last August. A Pharmacist and Project Manager by day, these superheroes have been living a double life to create Darwin’s first local craft beer. They attribute much of their success to their partners, Louise and Joanne, and their friends and family who were no doubt happy to be their guinea pigs (where do we sign up?).

The boys have also got some big surprises coming in 2015, so stay tuned. Say ‘see you lager’ to whatever ales you, and hop on down to the Deck Bar or Viva La Vida to sample Darwin’s only original craft beer.
