Up The Guts

A musical journey of epic proportions, Up The Guts is taking an intrepid crew of musicians straight through the middle of the Australian continent from Hobart all the way through to Darwin. This tour is stopping by some of Australia’s most remote music venues and, much to the enjoyment of music lovers in the often neglected Top End, will be passing through Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Grove Hill. The tour will end in what is set to be an epic night at the Darwin Railway Club.

The line up entails everything you’d expect from an Australian rock’n’roll road trip, featuring Melbourne garage rock group Scotdracula, Scott and Charlene’s Wedding, post-punk darling Ali E and the distinctive folk sounds of Ben Wright Smith. Topping it off, the singer from Pretty Littles and the drummer from Big Scary are teaming up for a not so little or scary cover act.

Up The Guts features a series of workshops in regional towns, giving youth aged 12-18 the opportunity to learn and be inspired by some of the triumphs and challenges these musicians have faced.
