On the Northern Track

Sydney based Catholic School Santa Sabina College is touring the Northern Territory this month, performing Australian choral and instrumental music in iconic landscapes and venues across the Northern Territory.

"Santa Sabina has a fine tradition in music with a large orchestral and choral program and Australian music is a core component of the music syllabus,” says Artistic Director Karen Carey.

The students will collaborate and perform with the Darwin Symphony Orchestra Quartet and the Darwin Vocal Ensemble, as well as with the Tiwi Islands’ Strong Women’s Choir and the Ntaria Choir in Hemannsburg.

“The opportunity to work with different schools, community members and professional musicians will be a very rewarding and collaborative experience for our students," Carey added.

The tour includes performances at Christ Church Cathedral, Crocodylus Park (entry fee applies) and Ubirr and culminates in a special sunrise performance near Uluru.
