Your free what's on guide to the NT

Lakeside Sounds

Round up your crew, pack your picnic blankets, and make tracks to Palmerston for free live music once a month throughout the Dry!

Live at the Lake is a new twist on a much-loved classic – the old Sanctuary Sessions – and offers a mix of emerging and established homegrown talent for you to kick back and enjoy in picturesque surrounds.

Alternating between Durack Community Centre Lawn and Sanctuary Lakes each month, the series has already showcased the likes of local gem, Prayer Corby.

This month’s session features established singer-songwriter Mandy Garling belting out her heartfelt tunes, alongside passionate up-and-comer Jennie Attrill, whose songs relay stories that speak to the soul.

Alongside local faves like Scott Murphy, look out for emerging young guitar soloists Tahlia Forrest and Emily Penny later in the year.

Young singer-songwriter Bella Marie is sure to be a real treat – at 23 she’s already garnered some impressive achievements, including performing at Carols by Candlelight when she was just 10-years-old!

Bring your blankets, beanbags and chairs, and kick back at this family friendly event. Pets are welcome, too, so bring your pooches along for some tunes by the lake!
