Snake Man

LOCAL LEGENDS The NEO wowed crowds at Darwin Railway Club with the release of their new tune ‘Out of Place’ last month. Luckily for us, they’re back, with not one but two huge nights of music and talented mates in tow to launch the second song from their new album, Fear of The Unknown.

By Tierney Seccull

Staying on brand for the band, these fun cabaret nights feature a swag of entertainment, with music, comedy, magic, dance, circus and burlesque, from some of the Territory’s finest performers. Joining the party is Leah Potter, Michael Connell, Wesley the Magician, Darwin Divine Dancers, and Rix Kix Dance – plus some huge tunes from The NEO, of course.

‘Snake Man’ has true Territory flavour and tells the tale of an encounter with the notorious Snake Man, in the tropical build-up, on the balcony beneath a mango tree. It’s a full-flavoured funky dance tune, providing the perfect soundtrack to celebrate that NT dedication to the dancefloor.

The new video clip is animated by one of Darwin’s most prolific animators for the local music scene, Levin Diatschenko. A celebrated animator, Diatschenko’s been internationally recognised for his craft, and has created clips for other amazing Territory artists such as David Garnham and Leah Flanagan.

So, if you missed your chance to dance last month, The NEO has your back. Go and have a dance, man, to ‘Snake Man’.
