Always...Patsy Cline

IN 1963, AT THE AGE OF JUST 30, PATSY CLINE DIED IN A PLANE CRASH, LEAVING BEHIND A BEVY OF BROKEN-HEARTED FANS. What better way to pay tribute to Cline's life than a musical featuring 27 of her hits? Cue Always...Patsy Cline.

Based on the story of Cline's life, and her friendship with fan Louise Seger, Always...Patsy Cline is one of the most produced musicals in America. This Australian version stars award winning Australian country music singer Courtney Conway, who says it’s a dream to play the title role.

“I’m a big fan of Patsy’s and grew up on her music – my dad was a big fan. When I was offered the role I couldn’t believe it, and I suppose I panicked a little because I really wanted to do the role justice. I’ve loved every minute of it,” Conway said.

“I’ve been to Darwin before and am really looking forward to coming back. Last time, I was only there for two days and was super busy, so I didn’t get to see much. Even though it’ll be super hot and a climate I’m not used to, I’m very much looking forward to coming back."

Head along to Always...Patsy Cline for an evening of country humour, emotion and a dash of audience participation.
