SLIDE into this Double Bill

SLIDE YOUTH DANCE Theatre’s Dancers Co-Op and Company Two return to Darwin Entertainment Centre this month to present, not one, but two huge stage productions to round out 2020.

In A Land Far, Far…Today, 17 people go missing and a reward is offered, but sometimes you find what you’re looking for in the unlikeliest of places…

Hilaria Sharp sits alone with her trolley of random paraphernalia, as a parade of everyday strangers and fair weather friends come in and out of Bubbles’ Laundrette. From the ‘Influencer’ to the ‘Most Organised Teacher on Earth’, everyone who enters is a known quantity. Or are they? And when things go awry, who can they really rely on?

Fat Sam’s Gang is a motley crew of misfits, united only by their crazy friendship. They have nowhere to go, and what’s more, they’re up to no good.

In an alleyway fashioned into a home, a gang of street urchins live rough but think big. The kooky chaos of their everyday lives is taken up a notch when they find themselves having to contend with a mysterious diamond necklace. Not to mention, the hilariously humourless Superintendent Longbottom.

Be enraptured by SLIDE’s new worlds and come out braver, bolder and sparkling clean!
