A Comedy Convoy

GET READY TO giggle as the cream of the country’s comedy crop descends on Darwin to deliver one hilarious night of entertainment. After a one-year forced hiatus thanks to COVID, this comedy convoy rolls into Darwin Entertainment Centre this month – with gusto, mind you.

Susan Provan is Director of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and says they’ve been eager to hit the frog and toad.

“We are thrilled that we can once again take the Melbourne International Comedy Festival on the road,” she says.

“We love being able to bring a selection of Australian stars and talented newcomers to spread the Comedy Festival vibe around Australia – and this year we’re hitting 80 cities and regional locations all across the country.”

Launched in 1987 by Barry Humphries (aka, Dame Edna Everage) and the late and great English comedian Peter Cook, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival has given homegrown talent the chance to showcase their talent and develop their skills.

They’ve cast the net far and wide to harness Aussie talent including the RAW Comedy, Class Clowns and Deadly Funny open mic competitions, whilst the Roadshow gives regional areas across the country the chance to get a slice of the action.

With an impressive line-up of Australian stars and talented newcomers, this is one night on the comedy calendar you don’t want to miss.
