Climate at the Heart of Art

Climate change is on the tip of everyone’s tongue. From politicians, farmers, climate scientists and young people. Opinions differ but everyone has one.

Darwin Visual Arts (DVA) invites its members to reflect on the social, political and environmental factors at play about everything ‘climate’, and create a work for its member’s show – the gallery’s first exhibition of 2020.

The City of Darwin’s CITYLIFE Platform lightbox project has teamed up with DVA, and will select 10 works from the exhibition to be professionally photographed and illuminated in lightboxes throughout Darwin from April to September.

Got an idea boiling away? No matter what your medium is or your take on the climate emergency, you’re invited to contribute to the conversation through art.

Not a DVA member? Not a worry. Start the year with DVA’s creative community and share your work throughout the year at the member’s shows.
